My dear Members of the St. Jude Society,
may the Peace of Christ be with you
I
am pleased to write to all of you as we
anticipate the celebration of the 50th Anniversary
of the St. Jude Apostolate/Shrine of St.
Jude, Yaba in 2009. We will celebrate
the whole year of 2009 with our six Solemn
Novenas as Jubilee Masses.
You
will find a form enclosed for our St. Jude
Apostolate Societies. Please
read and fill out the questionnaire so your
Chartered Membership will continue. Chartered
Membership must be renewed every year.
Non-Chartered Societies are also encouraged
to do so. We are anxious to contact your
society through e-mail. We are also
aware this service is not available to everyone,
but perhaps, someone in your society would
allow you to receive our messages through
his or her e-mail address on behalf of your
society. In renewing your Charter,
please send us a picture of your members
which would include your Spiritual Director. We
will use these pictures in our Novena Notes,
the Website and Brochure for the anniversary.
We
would appreciate any member of your St.
Jude Society to send us his or her e-mail
address and cell phone number(s). Sometime
during the course of our 50th Anniversary,
probably in October 2009, special awards
will be given to Chartered St. Jude Societies.
- Awards will be given to the 10
most active societies with the Shrine
of St. Jude, Yaba.
- An award will be given to the
largest Chartered St. Jude Society with
the most active members in Nigeria, Republic
of Benin and Ghana.
Your intentions have
always been placed at the altar and prayed
for regularly. May God continue to bless
your efforts and protect you and your families…
